Dunni about the force-fed ones, but the NA 944s are pretty reliable if maintained properly. They take a bit more care than a late-model commuter car, sure, but after several years now of DD’ing a 200K+ mile 944, I’d be hard-pressed to call it unreliable.
The trick is finding one that hasn’t been neglected.
